Summary:
The Johannesburg Climate Legacy (JCL) will measure the CO2 emissions of the Summit (from aircraft flights to electricity used at the event itself), and then offset them by investing in carbon-reducing, sustainable projects across South Africa, (e.g. solar power, energy efficiency initiatives etc.) The JCL is a flagship project of the Greening the Summit process, which is being managed by IUCN in South Africa.
