Partnership targetsWomen entrepreneurs in developing and emerging countries
increase women entrepreneurs number by: - creating a master program providing information on entrepreneurship - strengthening the "informal sector" to obtain legal recognition - encouraging rural women to work independently (organic products, rural tourism,..) - building a closer relationship among Women Entrepreneurs throughout the World maximize their performance by: - increasing access to new clients (e.g.: Export Fever, ..) - gaining a stronger bargaining position (e.g.: Fair Trade, ..) - proposing new opportunities by examining and reviewing international trends - featuring their products in 22 languages on our Web site train them to promote UN Millennium Development Goals by: - instructing women entrepreneurs in diverse ways to attain the MSDG - motivating them to serve as role models for women in their communities It's time to act: Around 2 years by developing country Till 2015: boosting the exportation and supervising their performances. |
Progress against targetsON GOING PILOT COLOMBIA: BELLE CRIN (NATURAL BRISTLE GLOVES)
Step 1: Collecting information by word-of-mouth on women entrepreneurs (in this case through WEDO) Step 2: Selection of women entrepreneurs with potential to export and innovate Step 3: Matching between the coachee and the business coach Step 4: 1st contract with a german company after 3 months of coaching = 100 employees Step 5: Target 200 employees at end of 2006 MEANS: Business Coaching and export preparation, no funding. Capacity building in International negociation (specifically: in France, Italy, Belgium, Germany and the USA) EVALUATION ON : (x= result achieved) - Providing information on entrepreneurship - Strengthening the informal sector to obtain legal recognition - Encouraging rural women to work independently - Building a closer relationship among women entrepreneurs thought the world - Increasing access to new client / Exportation (x) - Gaining a stronger bargaining position (x) - Proposing business opportunities (North-South)(x) - Proposing business opportunities (South-South) - Promoting the Millennium Development Goals and the UN Global Compact Principles - Motivating women entrepreneurs to serve as role models in their communities |
Coordination Mechanism of the Partnership1- For each nation, a Country Leader is nominated by the Foundation within its members:
The Country Leader is the contact to: - national SBA (Small Business Administration) - national entrepreneurs associations - business schools and universities - ministries of exportation, environment, agriculture, tourism is responsible for : - Educational programs on the MSDG solutions, focus on sustainable development dispensed to all women entrepreneurs and potential EVE-entrepreneurs. - coordination of coaches between different operations - monthly news on actions held by the foundation displayed on the web site 2- For each operation, a Manager (Operation Leader) is appointed within the retired executives: The Operation Leader is the contact to: - the Operation Partner - the Country Leader - the local authorities is the responsible for - planning and follow-up - the coaches assignment - finding new women entrepreneurs (The foundation is relying on experts from the retired executives organizations to educate and coach the EVE-Entrepreneurs.) |
