          Goals and Objectives
Summary of the partnership's goals and objectives
The goal of IREA is to foster collaboration, removing market barriers, identifying and promoting successful implementation strategies, enhancing business conditions and developing markets. This is to be achieved by the provision of reliable and up to date facts and considerations for more informed decision making at all levels of national and international policy and to further the principles and goals declared in the 2004 Bonn Declaration on Renewable Energies.
          Targets and Progress
          Partnership targets
IREA seeks to provide comity and synergy among the existing international renewable energy-related organisations in such a way as to build strength and achieve progress through the sum of its parts.
          Progress against targets
IREA is a coalition advocacy group, building linkages on common interests within the renewable energy community and facilitating information and contacts to other relevant business, technical, conservation, research, civil society, governmental and international organisations.

IREA provides a common platform for the diverse interests in the renewable energy community comprising associations whose principal activities relate to renewable energy and/or policy development in relation to the use of renewable energy to reduce pollution, to achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and reduce the problems of security of supply.

IREA will as and when necessary, assemble and publish information, build consensus on forward-looking policy and promote common linkages within the renewable energy community for priority strategies for fast and sustainable development of all renewable energy technologies, the benefits of renewable energy to the public and to mobilise action by its members. IREA works with networks and organisations having the advancement of renewable energy as their major purpose.
