Stakeholders/Partners:	The reconstruction of the facilities of the former farm and the construction of new facilities in RBZ Třanovice, was completed with the financial support of programmes SAPARD and PHARE, grant titles of the State Environmental Fund, Common Regional Operational Programme, Operational Programme Rural Development and Multifunctional Agriculture – LEADER+, Ministry for Regional Development of the Czech Republic (Regional Development Programme for the support of North-Western Bohemia and the Ostrava Region).

Objectives/Challenges:

Main objectives:

• resolving complicated property relationships connected to the abandoned large-scale agricultural facility
• development of technical and traffic infrastructure for it (projects of the Třanovice municipality)
• reaching consensus between the municipality and the business entities, which have so far reconstructed the majority of the devastated facilities and areas and
• completion of additional projects supporting services and business.

Lessons Learned:

Economic contributions of the project can be monitored in the following points:
• business development and the creation of work opportunities
• diversification of business activities
• development of public and private sector partnership
• development of the entrepreneurial environment in general
• reducing unemployment
• increasing purchasing power
• increasing tax revenue.

Social contributions of the project are mainly in:
• the creation of conditions for the improvement in the demographic situation (number and composition of the population, positive migration balance, etc.)
• the creation of conditions for improving regional identity (consisting of the feeling of pride and self confidence, which is the basis for the development of a local culture, the tertiary sector, active and the responsible participation in the management and care of the environment of the municipality, the creation of specific institutions and the integration of all structures on a local (and micro-regional) level for the purpose of specific projects in different areas of human activity)
• the creation of conditions for the development of local culture (investment and non-investment activities in the area of culture and sports, activating of the tertiary sector).

Environmental contributions of the project are mainly in:
• improving the value and the use of existing facilities and areas
• elimination of (potential) old pollution
• strengthening the ties to the project “Biomass Production and Its Energy Use” as a basic conceptual framework for the support and development of alternative agriculture.

Summary:

The result of the project is the revitalised facility of the former state farm, extended by the buildings of former military garrison, in which more than two dozen small and mid-size companies are currently located and in which more than three hundred people from Třanovice and its surroundings are currently employed. At the end of 2006, a total of 25 entities employing 350 employees were located in the area of RBZ.
